Ever wonder if your website is helping your business make money? I know I do. Putting as much time into my site as I do, I really want to know if all of the effort is paying off. But what if you don’t look at sites and their statistics for a living? Does it seem like it’s just way too much trouble to learn ANOTHER task to take up your time? I thought so. I’m here to show you how to find out simple information about your site without hauling out a bunch of geeky books. Promise.

First, be honest with yourself and decide right now if you have time to learn how to do it yourself. If you can then great. Go get Google Analytics or your analytics package of choice set up and make it send you weekly reports. If you’re like 99% of small business owners, the answer is no. That’s just fine.

If you can’t do it by yourself, you’ll need someone to get some analytics set up on your site. Fortunately, this is pretty easy. Hop on your favorite web browser and go to http://www.fiverr.com In the search box, type “google analytics”. Hit enter. Voila! You can hire someone to install Google Analytics on your site and probably do some rudimentary analysis of your site. More than likely, whoever does this for you will also try and pitch you on web marketing services. That choice is entirely up to you.

On the other hand, you can get a web marketing service to analyze your site, do some search engine optimization on it and get you set up with Analytics. Probably more expensive but you’ll have (hopefully) more complete and consistent work done to improve the performance of your site.

Ideally, you can get a company that can get you moving in the right direction from the get go and you will have a good kick start towards having a site that you know is working for you and your business.
